The blogging begins!

Firstly, I’d like to thank you for taking the time to stop by the site and check out the page. Writing about all thing’s health, fitness and nutrition has been something my clients have been asking me to do for a while now. Finally, here I am doing it! I certainly have no issues talking about this stuff all day so hopefully I love writing about it just as much.

Being brand new into this, I thought I would set out the aims and direction I’d like this page to take. I feel this is potentially more for my benefit than anyone else’s. Something I can use to remind myself what I’m actually here for. The last thing I want is for this page to be a physical representation of the fitness industry. A confusing collection of contradicting articles and posts that leave you with more questions than you started with. It is a shame that I personally have that opinion of an industry that I’ve worked in for so many years and devoted so much time to both study and practice, however I’d like to think I can become part of the solution rather than adding to the problem.

So without further ado, let’s talk about what this page is about (I’ll wait for my next post to tell you who I am and why I feel I have any right to publicly share my opinion). My main aim is to add some clarity to the confusing minefield of information that’s currently out there on the internet with regards to health, fitness, diet and training. I would like to build something that people can look at and even if you don’t feel you learn anything, maybe I’ll just plant the seed of a new idea or a different way to interpret something. Granted, my ultimate ambition would be to create a page and subsequent social media pages that everyone loves and learns from. I’m enough of a realist however to know that I will not appeal to everyone and some of what I suggest won’t be generic enough to work for entire populations. I’ll still give it a whirl though.

The plan is to upload a new blog post once a week at least. I’ll be covering all sorts of topics within the fitness industry including; nutrition, training, healthy living, working in the industry and unfortunately, the corruption that’s gradually been taking a hold. Some of you may wonder what I’m referring to here, I guess you’ll have to keep reading the posts to find out! I hope to create a positive place where opinions can be shared and new insights found. However, I know from the rants I occasionally slip into in the gym that I will sometimes just have a good old moan. I’m not going to apologize for it though. I’m passionate about everything fitness and genuinely I’d like to make positive impacts on as many people’s lives as I can. To do that sometimes you just have to say things how they are. Put simply, I may be a bit blunt at times.

So, what can you expect from this site and from me? Logical, reasoned and supported opinions. That’s the long and short of it. If you have any form of health and fitness goal then hopefully some of what you find on here will aid and improve your journey. I am here to help and that’s not me just saying that for effect. I will always do my best to respond to comments and questions so feel free to post away. Constructive criticism is welcome too. Just not too much as I’m a sensitive soul really!

So here goes nothing. I’m blogging all things health and fitness now. What a world we live in!
